Thiago Silva is Blue. Former Paris Saint-Germain centre-back and captain has penned a one-year contract with Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.
Following the end of his contract at France Ligue 1 side PSG, the Brazilian defender has joined the Londoners. Thiago Silva, 35, arrived in France in 2012 and played 8 years for PSG.
During his spell at the Parc des Princes outfit, Silva capitulated 315 appearances with the Reds and Blue. The former AC Milan defender has scored seventeen goals and assisted five times.
He won a haul of 25 trophies with the club he has captained 190 times since the 2012/13 season.
With his performances convincing the fans, he has been nicknamed “O Monstro” (The Monster).
Thiago Silva was closed to winning an UEFA Champions league title with PSG but Bayern Munich defeated the French club in final. As the German Bundesliga claimed their sixth UCL silverware a week ago.
It’s reported that Chelsea will have a further twelve months on Silva’s deal.

In addition, the former Fluminense centre-back will have to show quality in order to settle himself in the team managed by Frank Lampard.
