Ciro Immobile pens long-term contract extension with Lazio

Ciro Immobile commits to five more years with Lazio as confirmed by the Italian top-flight side earlier on Monday. The 30-year-old goal scorer is tied up with the Biancocelesti until 2025.

Following his incredible and sensational 2019/20 season, Ciro Immobile has extended his deal with Società Sportiva Lazio.

His old contract should expire in 2023 but the Stadio Olimpico officials have quickly taken their precautions in order to secure a long love story with their talisman.

The news has been revealed by reliable Italian journalist Stefano De Marta at Lazio Style Channel and confirmed by the club itself on social media.

A well deserved contract extension in regards with the marvelous and outstanding season former Borussia Dortmund player has had.

In challenge with Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo for the top scorer race in Serie A, Immobile succeeded in beating the Portuguese talisman. As he ended the season by scoring 36 goals in 37 appearances. Absolutely wonderful !

On the European side, Ciro Immobile was in battle with Bayern Munich‘s talisman Robert Lewandowski, who he finally defeated also. As he registered 39 goals and 8 assists to claim the European Golden shoe in 44 appearances.

That season is one of the best he never has had but he could search to be better next season. As he is closed to equalizing the record of the all-time goalscorer of Lazio with is held by the legendary Silvio Piola with 149 goals. Immobile is 125 in just 178 appearances.

No doubt that he will be eager to break down this record to position himself on top of the list.
